TEKNE collaborates with the Milan based Paolo Asti’s architectural practice for this restoration and conversion of an existing office building from the 50’s, into new residential units. Located in the oldest part of the historic center, next to the archaeological area of Via Brisa, the building retains its relationship with the environment, by a very measured intervention of reinterpretation of the facade, designed to enhance the aesthetics, ensuring at the same time high energy efficiency. The intervention on the facade and common parts also increases the brightness of the environment, enhancing the quality of materials and improving the use of space. The building consists of a main volume of five above ground floors on the outer perimeter (overlooking Via Vigna and Via Luini) and a secondary part of the building inside the plot, of three floors above ground. The basement houses cellars and a parking space with garages, from which you can directly reach the residential units by lift. The pedestrian entrance is through an atrium accessible from via Luini, in continuity with the internal courtyard.
