Christian Louboutin, after opening in Rome in 2013 his first Italian boutique, opened its first male collection store in Milan, choosing the exclusive showcase of the promenade which connects Corso Como with Piazza Gae Aulenti: an emerging centrality for luxury retail, choosen also by other important fashion brands. Also for the store in Milan, the Christian Louboutin Maison has entrusted the design to the architect Eric Clough (212box, NYC), who worked on the creation of the first stores in Paris and New York, devising the concept, and that is following the new openings around the world. The modern and powerful image mixes elements from “industrial” aesthetics (such as concrete floors or exposed systems) with pieces of modern design and high craftsmanship productions (such as hand-embroidered leather panels or metal grates for screens), ncluding also works of art, such as the sculptures by Patrice Dangel. For this small casket of luxury, Tekne, who performed the supervision of the construction works, has partnered with the New York’s Architectural Firm and the Paris’ offices of the fashion maison.
