The 5-star hotel will be the result of the complete renovation and restoration of the historic Palazzo Venezia, one of the most  recognizable buildings in Piazza Cordusio, a few meters from Piazza del Duomo, in the heart of Milan. The project concerns the redevelopment, through conservative restoration, of the historic headquarters of Assicurazioni Generali,  Palazzo Venezia in Piazza Cordusio, designed at the end of the 19th century by Beltrami. The building will be able to accommodate a new hotel, with 73 rooms and a reception-hall inside the dome. The recovery of the  internal courtyard, now used as a parking lot, will allow the construction of an atrium with a breakfast room, while the restaurant with a panoramic terrace and a sky-bar will be set up on the roof, also accessible from the adjacent new shopping mall. It will also feature terraces with rooftop bars, which will offer a splendid 360° view of the city from a unique point of view, under the characteristic dome. After the renovation, the building will be in line with the criteria required to obtain Leed Gold certification, an international  recognition of sustainability that is particularly relevant in the case of a historic building.
